New Metro North Commuter Station at “Fairfield Metro Center” TOD located in Blackrock, Fairfield, CT.
Design of a new commuter rail station to be located within a new future mixed-use TOD development. The project involved a 3-party agreement between ConnDOT, Blackrock Developers and the Town of Fairfield. The station is comprised of (2) elevator and stair towers at either end of an enclosed pedestrian bridge linked to a ticket office located at the upper level of a parking and commercial structure. The station is the first new Metro North station on the New Haven line in 50 years.
