Building on recent transportation planning studies and TOD initiatives surrounding the Noroton Heights Railroad Station (NHRR) and neighborhood, the Town of Darien plans to revitalize the NHRR Station area as a 21st Century transportation center integrating multiple transportation modes while creating a safe, secure and inviting pedestrian-friendly environment for commuters and residents alike. The station building and site will be a state-of-the-art “green” facility incorporating sustainable and resilient design strategies and employing universal design standards.
