Yale Field
New Haven, Connecticut
Yale’s baseball field was inspired by Yankee Stadium, built six years earlier. Renovations were to retain the upper concourse and back row of original seats, the roof frame, and the original facade, maintaining the character and history of the original park. Seating & aisles were reconfigured to comply with current codes as well as improve sight lines. Concessions, toilets, press boxes, offices and dressing facilities were added as well as a new picnic pavilion in right field with platforms stepping away from home plate in two directions affording clear views of the field from all levels, now the model for several other stadium pavilions. Colors and materials were used throughout the stadium to capture the spirit of baseball as affordable family fun.
Services included architectural with consultants for structural and MEP engineering.
