Yale Bowl - New Haven, Connecticut

Yale Bowl

New Haven, Connecticut

In preparation for the Special Olympics, scheduled to be held in the New Haven area in 1996, the Yale Bowl was designated as the venue for opening and closing ceremonies. Renovations included the removal of the electronic and telecommunications infrastructure that had been patched together for over 50 years in and around the stadium and replacement with new buried power and telecom cabling (as well as empty conduits for future use), removal of the wood fence and temporary seating at the top of the stadium and replacement with a new wrought iron fence with pennants, creating a ½ mile concourse circumscribing the upper perimeter of the Bowl and repair of the remaining 65,000 wood seats.

Services included architectural services with consultants for structural and MEP engineering.
