What makes a home wonderful? The answer can be varied, and equally EXPANSIVE is GWG’s residential portfolio, comprising a broad range of new construction and renovation projects, distinctive single family residences as well as intriguing multi-family projects and adaptive reuse of older buildings.
Careful attention to detail, carefully chosen products and palettes, creative site plans, and efficient use of space and materials are all hallmarks of the firm’s work. Many of the custom homes are in shoreline areas GWG is experienced with the regulatory and neighborhood issues often associated with waterfront areas: difficult zoning, the Coastal Area Management Act, Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, and inland wetlands commissions.
While we pride ourselves in creating unique homes, our work also includes university and institutional work where we have been entrusted to enlarge, alter and restore a wide variety of prominent structures. This type of work requires a broad knowledge of construction types, materials, details and building efficiency as well as durability and we apply that knowledge to our residential projects.
