Exterior Restoration of the Old Town Hall

This 1906 beaux arts style city hall is listed on the National Historic Register and is sited on a triangular city block fronted by a broad plaza and stairs and backed by an urban park.�� The site is one of the few remaining vestiges of the original town center.
The three phase restoration and preservation of the historic Old Town Hall for future adaptive re-use by the City effort included roof replacement, masonry cleaning and repair, window and door replacement��� and re-creation of the original plaza and rear gardens.�� The structure also received an extensive exterior lighting program to enhance its presence at the city center.
Restoration Issues included replacement of Vermont slate roof and hipped skylight; new LCC roofing & clock tower; historic style replacement windows and doors; wrought iron grill work repair; limestone cleaning, repair, replacement and re-pointing.
Services included architectural, preservation, MEP engineering, landscape architecture and exterior lighting.
