Gregg Wies & Gardner Architects (GWG) understands the importance of creating flexible clinical and healthcare facilities which maximize available space and allow change as advances in medicine and research occur. New technology often needs to be integrated into existing space and our firm takes a proactive approach to addressing those needs. Along with providing efficient and well designed space for practitioners, we feel it is equally important to design facilities which provide for the care and comfort of patients.

The range of projects by GWG in the healthcare field includes clinical suites in university healthcare facilities, outpatient dental offices, medical offices for many specialties, including ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, as well as specialty projects such as dialysis clinics (both outpatient and acute dialysis center in hospitals), rehabilitation centers, CT-scan suites and secure storage for the medical records of a hospital dating back to 1864.

Our firm has designed several private clinical testing laboratories in the Northeast, over 30 research laboratories in medical schools and for the Veterans Administration and administrative offices and support facilities in medical environments. In 1998, GWG designed an entire campus for the Yale School of Nursing and is presently expanding that program.
